Regarding the main transformer

In power plants and substations, the transformer used to transmit power to the power system or users is called the main transformer, or simply the main transformer.
Function: The main transformer plays a crucial role in converting the electrical energy generated by generator sets into a voltage level suitable for transmission, or converting the transmission voltage into a voltage level suitable for the distribution network. Furthermore, it limits fault current through its impedance characteristics, improves the safe operation of the power grid, and ensures stable voltage and frequency for end users.
Structure: The main transformer mainly consists of an iron core, windings, insulation system, oil tank, and cooling system. The iron core is made of stacked silicon steel sheets with high magnetic permeability and is the core component for electromagnetic energy conversion. The windings include high-voltage windings and low-voltage windings, made of copper or aluminum wire. The insulation system includes solid insulation and liquid insulation. The oil tank and cooling system include the oil tank, radiator, fan, oil pump, etc., employing oil-immersed natural cooling or oil-immersed air cooling methods.
Working Principle: The main transformer operates based on electromagnetic induction and voltage transformation. When the high-voltage coil is powered by an AC power source, it generates an alternating current, which in turn generates an alternating magnetic field. This magnetic field is conducted to the low-voltage coil through the iron core. According to Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction, the alternating magnetic field in the low-voltage coil will induce an electromotive force, thereby realizing the conversion of electrical energy from high voltage to low voltage.

Pressing device:

Up/down operation has manual, linkage (automatic tracking) function; The control is required to be accurate, reliable, error-free and has the function of error accumulation and elimination. Automatic stop function can be set according to coil turns or height. Automatic reversing can be performed according to the set pitch parameters. Electronic, mechanical (host) counting function; The winding count shows the number of winding turns, less than 0.1 turns / 10,000 turns, and the lifting speed can be displayed in the display.
4-axis pay-off stand: with pneumatic brake, each tray can be used separately, or multiple trays can be selected.
